FDR-X1000V siap untuk pergi kemanapun. Desain IPX4 kelas splashproof tahan dari cuaca yang basah seperti kabut dan gerimis. sudah termasuk waterproof yang tahan air hingga 10 m sedangkan dive door accessory akan mampu menyelam hingga 60 m. Dan tentu saja tahan terhadap panas, debu dan pasir.
