Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-RX10 Mark IV adalah solusi ringkas untuk pembuat gambar multimedia. Menampilkan 20.1MP 1″ Exmor RS BSI CMOS sensor dan prosesor gambar BIONZ X, RX10 IV mampu merekam hingga 24 fps pada ISO 12800, serta merekam video UHD 4K/30p atau Full HD 1080/120p. Teknologi back-illuminated dan stacked sensor menghasilkan kualitas gambar tingkat tinggi dengan kejelasan yang penting dan mengurangi noise yang sesuai untuk bekerja dalam kondisi pencahayaan yang menantang. Melengkapi kecepatan pemotretan dari sensor dan kombinasi prosesor, kamera ini juga menawarkan bidang fokus 315-titik yang lebih cepat. sistem autofocus deteksi fase untuk kecepatan fokus secepat 0.03 detik.
Menyeimbangkan kemampuan pencitraan, RX10 IV juga dicirikan oleh lensa 25x Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* zoom, 24-600mm equivalent focal length range dan menggunakan stabilisasi gambar Optical SteadyShot untuk meminimalkan efek goyangan kamera hingga 4.5 stop. Desain optiknya menggabungkan delapan elemen extra-low dispersion dan enam elemen asferis untuk mengendalikan berbagai penyimpangan sepanjang rentang zoom, dan manfaat rentang aperture maksimum f/2.4-4 bekerja dalam kondisi cahaya rendah.
Karakteristik bentuk yang kuat, yang mencakup 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder bersama dengan tilting 3.0″ 1.44m-dot touchscreen LCD. Desain intuitif juga dilengkapi dengan tiga ring kontrol khusus pada lensa zoom ring, ring fokus manual, dan ring aperture untuk penyesuaian aperture yang halus dan senyap.
